Sheep Habitat:
Our sheep are raised in as natural an environment as possible.
Habitat Details:
The majority of our closed flock graze in paddocks comprised of mixed grasses, willows and Aspen trees. They have small barns that they can use but only seem to use in the worst of weather.
When it comes time to lamb, we try to persuade our ewes to come into our century barn. The barn is over 100 years old and the”Gray Lady” has sheltered many generations of animals but our efforts to convince our ewes of the benefits of lambing indoors doesn't always meet with success. The girls can be cagey about their due dates and often surprise us in the morning, arriving for their morning treat of grain with their precious babies in tow.
All of our sheep are registered with the Barbados Blackbelly Sheep Association International.
